autotransportarse

A rare, mostly technical extension of transportarse and the noun autotransporte (motor freight/trucking, especially in Mexican and Argentine usage) — not a standardized or common everyday word, and easily replaced by plain transportarse or desplazarse in ordinary speech.

• La empresa se autotransporta la mercancía en su propia flota de camiones. — The company transports its own merchandise using its own fleet of trucks.
• Prefiere autotransportarse en bicicleta antes que depender del autobús. — He prefers to get around on his own by bicycle rather than depend on the bus.
• El proyecto busca que la planta pueda autotransportarse la energía que genera. — The project aims to let the plant transport the energy it generates on its own.

Not a word most native speakers reach for spontaneously — transportarse or desplazarse por sus propios medios sound far more natural for a person getting around; autotransportarse mostly appears in technical or industrial writing.
