A colloquial verb meaning to stuff oneself with food or drink until overly full (se apiparon de paella). Always implies eating past the point of being satisfied, closer to "pigging out" than a neutral "eating a lot."

• Nos apipamos de tapas en el bar. — We stuffed ourselves with tapas at the bar.
• Se apiparon de dulces en la fiesta. — They gorged themselves on sweets at the party.
• No te apipes tanto antes de la cena. — Don't stuff yourself so much before dinner.

Using apiparse for a normal, moderate meal — it specifically implies overeating; comer bien or almorzar is what you'd say for an ordinary meal.
